If you follow my blog, you mhigt have noticed that it's been quiet since the read-a-thon of last October. I haven't even put up the reviews of those books yet.
It has, in fact, been quiet on my blog this entire year. In real life, 2010 hasn't been an easy year for me. Besides a crazy workload there have been health problems and as a consequence there was very little time to read and even less time to blog this year.
But that was not the only reason for the silence. I've been discontent with my blogging for a while now. I'm not a consistent reader. I read a lot during certain periods and almost nothing during other times. Coupled with the fact that most weekly blogging memes/themes didn't 'click' with me, it made for very inconsistent blogging. Not something I enjoy.
My reading has also changed since I started this blog. Nowadays it's mainly (historical) romance, (historical) detectives, historical fiction, and non-fiction. I'm reading mainly from my big TBR stack that U have at home. This makes reading challenges far less attractive to me than they were when I first started this blog.
My workload is leveling out now that the new year is approaching and my health is back on track. With this came the time to evaluate, to see if I would continue this blog or not. In the end, I decided I did want to blog. Reading is my first passion and that passion hasn't dimmed. I've devised some blogging themes that work for me that I can use if I don't have a review to post and I've devised a schedule of sorts that will help me post four times a week.
And so I say with renewed enthusiasm: posting will resume as of tomorrow!
